Step away from the computer for the interactive two-day Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) training, complete with practical resources!

Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy is the premier review workshop for home health coding and the Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical (COS-C) exam prep.

During this workshop, OASIS Answers educators will simplify learning OASIS-E1 and provide answers to your questions based on the most recent Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines. With this practical training, you can collect accurate data, prepare for the COS-C certification, and feel empowered in your practice.

Learn from top experts and ask questions while sitting alongside your peers. Additionally, you'll receive a comprehensive, well-organized handout of over 600 pages. These documents will be useful on the job and during the open-book COS-C exam.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn how to collect OASIS data using the most recent Medicare guidance.
  • Receive a preparatory review for the COS-C exam.
  • Gain the knowledge and tools to boost clinical confidence with a foundation of precise data collection.

Continuing Education

Attendees of both days will receive 13.0 continuing education units for skilled nursing, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology and audiology.

Meet the Speakers

KERRY TERMINE, DPT HCS-D COS-C

Kerry is a physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has worked in the home health industry since 2007, in advancing roles supporting coding and documentation for compliance and quality. She has over 15 years of experience conducting detailed reviews of clinical documentation for home health and hospice providers, focusing on OASIS and diagnosis coding accuracy, as well as regulatory compliance and documentation to support Medicare coverage. Kerry currently supports OASIS Answers’ CMS PAC contracts, leading public reporting and quality measure reports work, and supporting guidance manual and CMS help desks. Kerry holds the Home Care Coding Specialist – Diagnosis (HCS-D) and the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) designations and is a member of the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy presenter team. She is a Senior Clinical Lead with OASIS Answers, Inc.

LORI MARMON, PT MBA COS-C

Lori is a physical therapist with a Master’s in Business Administration. She has 25 years of clinical experience, specializing in home care since 2009. Her experience includes roles in quality education and clinical management. Lori currently supports OASIS Answers’ CMS contract work related to guidance and help desk support for the CMS Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) Model and CMS’s Quality Reporting Programs (QRPs) for Home Health, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities and Long-Term Care Hospitals. Lori is an educator and member of the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy presenter team. Lori holds the Certificate for OASIS Specialist- Clinical (COS-C) designation and is a Clinical Consultant with OASIS Answers, Inc.

COS-C Certification Exam

Parking: Enter the campus from Drew Street and take the first left for the visitors parking area.  

 

Classroom: Enter the BayCare Systems Office (BSO) – West Building entrance and proceed to the front desk. Notify the team member at the desk that you are attending the HCAF – OASIS Answers Workshop.

Registration fees for this program are as follows:

  • HCAF Private Duty Members: $620
  • Prospective Members: $680
