OASIS data collection continues to evolve! Based on the most current CMS guidance available, this workshop provides a comprehensive look at the OASIS items including the OASIS-E revisions and OASIS related PDGM information effective January 1, 2020. This effective, up-to-the-minute education is targeted for field data collectors, their supervisors, OASIS educators and reviewers, quality improvement staff, and those preparing for the COS-C Exam.
Experience the comprehensive and nationally acclaimed two-day Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy workshop and learn to confidently teach, audit and collect OASIS-E items accurately. Through guided, relatable, expert instruction, and participation in problem-solving discussions and more than 50 application scenarios, achieve mastery of the OASIS items, conventions, and the latest data collection rules.
The workshop educational objectives include:
Rather than provide opinions, assumptions, or unfounded interpretations, the “Blueprint” presenters will model reliance on CMS guidance documents and provide and demonstrate strategies for how to find defendable answers to your OASIS questions.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in layers as room temperatures vary and may be cool.
KERRY TERMINE, DPT, BCHH-C, COS-C
Kerry is a physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has worked in the home health industry since 2007, as a field clinician, as well as in roles supporting coding and documentation for compliance and quality. She has over 10 years of experience conducting detailed reviews of clinical documentation for home health and hospice providers, focusing on OASIS and diagnosis coding accuracy, as well as regulatory compliance and documentation to support Medicare coverage. Kerry is a certified coder and an AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM Trainer. She holds the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) designation and is a Clinical Consultant with OASIS Answers, Inc.
LORI MARMON, PT, MBA, COS-C
Lori is a physical therapist with a Masters in business administration. She has been practicing for 25 years with experience initially in the outpatient setting and then in home care since 2009. Lori’s experience includes positions as a field clinician, quality educator and clinical manager. In focusing on high quality outcomes and performance improvement, Lori’s work emphasizes the critical need for OASIS accuracy in measuring and achieving clinical success. Lori currently supports OAI’s CMS contract work related to OASIS data collection guidance and serves on OAI’s Blueprint Presenter Team. Lori holds the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) designation and is a Clinical Consultant with OASIS Answers, Inc.
Attendees receive 6.5 continuing education units per day (13.0 total) for skilled nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy.

The Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) Exam is a voluntary certificate examination for those interested in demonstrating and establishing their expertise and commitment to OASIS data accuracy. Administered the day following the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy training, the scope of the COS-C exam is similar to the Blueprint workshop agenda, covering current CMS OASIS data collection rules and guidance related to OASIS time points, regulations, patient populations and OASIS item specific scoring.
Candidates who successfully pass the examination are awarded the COS-C designation.
