This November, the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) proudly celebrates National Care at Home Month — a dedicated time to recognize the hard work and compassion of our care community and the millions of patients and families supported across Florida and nationwide. This month highlights the essential role of accessible, high-quality, person-centered care, shining a light on the diverse range of services provided at home, including home health, private duty, pediatric, hospice, and palliative care.

Each week in November, we honor a unique type of care:

• National Family Caregivers Day: November 1, 2024
• Palliative and Advanced Care Week: November 4-8, 2024
• Hospice Week: November 11-15, 2024
• Home Health Week: November 18-22, 2024
• Private Duty Home Care Week: November 25-29, 2024

Building on the tradition of National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, National Care at Home Month celebrates all in-home care professionals and caregivers — both paid and unpaid — whose vital roles support the health and well-being of those they serve.

"National Care at Home Month reminds us of the profound impact that compassionate care has on individuals and their families,” said Denise Bellville, RN, BS, COS-C, Executive Director of HCAF. “Every day, caregivers bring comfort, dignity, and healing into the homes of those they serve, allowing patients to remain where they feel safest and most loved. As we recognize these dedicated professionals and the family caregivers who support them, we are reminded that true care knows no boundaries — it lives in the heart of every home."
