HCAF Announces Special Election for Medicaid Specialty Director Seat

HCAF Announces Special Election for Medicaid Specialty Director Seat
Last month, the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) invited nominations for the newly created Medicaid Specialty Director position on the Board of Directors. We are pleased to announce that four highly qualified candidates have stepped forward to represent the Medicaid provider community in this important leadership role.
The elected candidate will serve an interim term beginning November 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. A second election will be held in May 2026 for the standard two-year term that follows.
Voting Guidelines
To ensure fairness and accuracy, please review the following voting rules:
- Only current HCAF Medicaid Specialty Provider Members are eligible to vote.
- Each member organization may cast one vote for one candidate.
- If multiple votes are submitted from the same organization, only the first vote will be counted.
- Write-in candidates may be submitted if they meet eligibility requirements.
- Voting is open now through Monday, October 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET.
We encourage all eligible members to cast their vote early — but only once — to ensure their voice is heard in shaping the future of Medicaid home care representation.
For more information or assistance with the voting process, please contact Monica Smith, Deputy Director, at msmith@homecarefla.org or call (850) 222-8967.
Thank you for your participation and continued support of HCAF. Your involvement strengthens our collective voice and ensures Medicaid providers are well-represented at the leadership level.
