Help Us Cut Red Tape: Share Your Input on Federal Regulatory Burdens

Medicare Medicaid Private Duty Government Affairs & Advocacy

On April 11, 2025, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking public input on federal regulations that may be outdated, overly burdensome, or unnecessary.

This is a key opportunity for the home care community to speak up and shape smarter, more supportive regulatory policy.

As Florida's voice for the home care provider community, we’re preparing to submit comments — and we want your input to ensure our response reflects the real-world challenges faced by providers across our state.

We’re compiling a unified response that spans all provider types and lines of business. We welcome your insights on any federal rules that create unnecessary barriers to care delivery, agency growth, or workforce recruitment and retention. These may include regulations from agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Department of Labor (DOL), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), or any other federal body impacting your operations.

What rules slow you down, drive up costs, or prevent you from serving your clients effectively? Whether it’s a specific requirement, a trend, or a persistent compliance headache — we want to hear about it.

Don’t delay — OMB’s deadline is May 12, and we need your feedback by May 7 to ensure it’s included.

To share your input, please click here to complete the online feedback form. We’ll compile all feedback into formal comments submitted by HCA and may also join a national submission through the National Alliance for Care at Home and other state associations.

Thank you for your feedback and support for HCAF!
