HomeCareCon 2026 Recap: Thank You for Helping Ignite What’s Next

Medicare Medicaid Private Care Association News

What an incredible week in Orlando!

On behalf of the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF), thank you to every attendee, speaker, exhibitor, sponsor, and volunteer who made HomeCareCon 2026 an unforgettable experience. This year’s theme, Ignite: Spark What’s Next, came to life through four days of learning, collaboration, advocacy, and celebration.

Together, we welcomed 86 exhibitors, hosted 54 workshops and educational sessions, and heard from 73 expert speakers who shared timely insights and practical strategies to help Florida’s home care community prepare for what comes next.

What Our Attendees Are Saying

  • “It was truly an honor to be part of the event and to share insights with such an engaged group of home care leaders. I enjoyed the conference and the meaningful conversations throughout the event.”
  • “I greatly enjoyed the opportunity to share insights with such an engaged audience and to connect with so many dedicated professionals across the home care community. Please extend my thanks to the entire HCAF team for the warm hospitality and excellent event.”
  • “The week of the conference is always one of my favorite weeks of the entire year. You always have everything so well coordinated, and you make it so easy and so much fun to volunteer. I am already looking forward to next year’s conference!”
  • “All of the vendors and participants voiced how amazing the conference was. The vendors said they love our conference the best.”
  • “In talking with attendees throughout the week, I heard repeatedly that this year’s conference was even better than last year’s. That success is a direct reflection of the unique talents, dedication, and hard work this team brings to support our industry.”

Fueling the Advocacy Fire

More than 60 guests attended the Home Care Political Action Committee (PAC) Power Hour Fundraiser on Tuesday, July 21. The evening featured a lively trivia tournament and special appearances by Representatives Jennifer Kincart Jonsson, Vanessa Oliver, and Yvette Benarroch, who greeted attendees and joined in the excitement.

During their first terms in the Florida Legislature, all three representatives supported HCAF’s priority legislation, including House Bill 1353 in 2025. This landmark law modernized Florida’s home health regulatory framework by strengthening agency operations, reducing administrative burdens, and improving access to care.

They also supported House Bill 1013 during the 2026 Legislative Session. The House-passed proposal sought to enhance consumer safety and increase transparency across Florida’s care-at-home provider continuum.

HCAF is grateful for their partnership and leadership in advancing policies that strengthen home-based care for Floridians.

The PAC also reached its $25,000 fundraising goal through the PAC Power Hour trivia tournament, contributions made during the two-day trade show, and support for the ongoing silent auction.

There is still time to help us build on that momentum. The silent auction has been extended through Sunday, August 2, so click here to bid, win, and support the PAC’s continued advocacy on behalf of Florida’s home care community.

Celebrating Excellence in Home Care

HomeCareCon also provided an opportunity to recognize the extraordinary professionals whose dedication and leadership strengthen care at home across Florida.

During the 15th Annual Excellence in Home Care Awards, sponsored by Enzo Health, HCAF proudly honored:

  • Exceptional Paraprofessional Caregiver: Cheryl Addison, Lifespace Communities
  • Bobby Lolley Distinguished Professional Caregiver: Jill Van Der Westhuizen, Health First
  • Terri Santangelo Outstanding Leader: Dominic Aloma, United Care Home Health Services

We also proudly honored the late Anne Menard, a respected regulator and health care industry veteran, with her posthumous induction into the Florida Home Care Hall of Fame in recognition of her lasting contributions to Florida’s home care community.
