Save the Date: Home Care Day at the Capitol Returns March 16-17, 2027
Save the Date: Home Care Day at the Capitol Returns March 16-17, 2027
Bring your experience — and your voice — to Tallahassee! The Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) will host Home Care Day at the Capitol on March 16-17, 2027, bringing providers, caregivers, and industry leaders together to advocate for the patients and families who depend on care at home.
Free to attend, Home Care Day falls during the third week of Florida’s annual 60-day Legislative Session, which convenes Tuesday, March 2, and is scheduled to adjourn Friday, April 30, 2027. This early-session timing gives you an opportunity to help shape policy discussions and build relationships with lawmakers.
Building on Record Engagement
In 2026, 55 advocates attended HCAF's signature state advocacy event — the largest turnout in Home Care Day’s history. Through 60 in-person legislative meetings and additional outreach, participants reached 152 of the 156 lawmakers then serving in Florida’s 160-seat Legislature, with four seats vacant.
Help build on that momentum in 2027. Your firsthand knowledge of care delivery, workforce challenges, and patients’ needs brings essential context to decisions made at the Capitol.
Why Attend
Home Care Day gives you the opportunity to:
- Explain how proposed policies affect your organization and the people you serve
- Advocate for a stronger workforce, sustainable reimbursement, and access to high-quality care at home
- Connect with fellow providers and advocates from across Florida
No prior advocacy experience is required. Whether you are attending for the first time or returning, HCAF will provide training, briefings, and practical guidance to help you participate confidently.
