The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) issued a health care alert on October 25, 2024, to inform all health care providers about scheduled downtime for the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, part of AHCA's ongoing system upgrade efforts.

Please take note of the following important details:

• Downtime Schedule: The Clearinghouse will be offline from Friday, November 8, at 5:00 PM ET until Monday, November 18, at 8:00 AM ET. During this period, the system will be inaccessible for regular use as AHCA deploys the new system.
• New System Authentication: The updated system will require login authentication using the email address registered in the current Clearinghouse. To ensure a smooth transition, providers are highly encouraged to verify their email address before the scheduled downtime. Instructions for updating your email can be found on page 19 of the AHCA User Registration Guide.
• Arrest Notifications: To maintain continuity in essential communications, AHCA will manually send daily arrest notifications to providers throughout the downtime.
