We are pleased to announce that, following our ongoing advocacy on behalf of Medicaid providers affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has extended the deadline for the third quarterly reporting requirement for Private Duty Nursing (PDN) providers. This extension offers much-needed relief as you continue to recover from the storms.

New Deadline: November 13, 2024

This reporting requirement applies to all home health agencies, independent registered nurses (RNs), and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) providing PDN services to Medicaid recipients under 21. The original deadline of October 14, 2024, has been extended to November 13, 2024. Please see the original announcement and instructions for submitting the report below.

The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has announced the upcoming deadline for the third quarterly report, requiring all home health agencies, independent registered nurses (RNs), and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) providing Private Duty Nursing (PDN) services to pediatric Medicaid recipients to submit essential data. This requirement is in compliance with an Order of Injunction issued on July 14, 2023 (federal case number 12-60460-CV-MIDDLEBROOKS/Hunt).

Reporting Requirements

• Home Health Agencies (Provider Type 65-965): Home health agencies must submit information for each RN or LPN providing or available to provide PDN services to Florida Medicaid recipients under the age of 21.
• Independent RNs (PT 65-118) and LPNs (PT 65-117): Independent RNs and LPNs must report their availability and the counties where they are available to work, or are currently providing PDN services to Medicaid recipients under 21.
