The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the October 2023 quarterly update for the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (HHQRP) on Care Compare. The update includes changes to the Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) based on the standard number of quarters. Claims-based measures for the HHQRP have been updated, except for Post-Discharge Readmission (PPR), which now aligns with the standard number of quarters. Additionally, a new claims-based measure, Potentially Preventable Hospitalizations (PPH), will be added for public reporting, while the OASIS measure related to drug education for patients/caregivers will be removed from public reporting.
