CMS Issues Non-Compliance Notices to Home Health Agencies Affecting 2024 Payment Update
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is currently issuing non-compliance notices to Medicare-certified home health agencies that failed to meet the requirements of the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (HHQRP) for Calendar Year (CY) 2022. The repercussions of this non-compliance will extend to their CY 2024 Annual Payment Update. These notifications will be disseminated by Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) and accessible to impacted providers in their "My Reports" folders in iQIES, with an expected delivery date around October 6, 2023.
Home health agencies that receive these notifications have the option to request reconsideration from CMS via email until 11:59 PM ET on November 13, 2023. Click here for instructions on the reconsideration process.
Please note that any reconsideration with protected health information (PHI) will not be processed, necessitating the removal of PHI for review.
