The Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report (PEPPER) retrieval rates for reports accessed via the PEPPER Resources Portal for each state/territory were recently updated.

Percentages reflect the PEPPER release that was completed on July 11, 2022, for home health agencies and other Medicare provider types.

As compared to the national download rate of 37%, 47% (405) of the 853 Florida home health agencies downloaded the report in the fourth quarter of 2021. Click here to view the national PEPPER retrieval map.

1. Visit the "Distribution Schedule – Get Your PEPPER page" at PEPPER.cbrpepper.org.
2. Review the instructions and obtain the information required to authenticate access.
3. Access the PEPPER Resources Portal.
4. Complete all the fields.
5. Download your PEPPER.

PEPPER is an educational tool that summarizes provider-specific data statistics for Medicare services that may be at risk of improper payments. Providers can use the data to support internal auditing and monitoring activities.
