The October 2023 release of the Home Health Prospective Payment System (HH PPS) Grouper software (v04.2.23) is available. This update includes International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) diagnosis codes effective from October 1, 2023. The update is associated with the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM), which changed the unit of home health payment from a 60-day episode to a 30-day period, effective from January 1, 2020.

The software update includes changes to diagnosis codes, return codes, validity flags, and an interface change to include a "Through Date" field. There's also an update to claim spanning logic and the introduction of new validity flags 08-15. Learn more and download the October 2023 release here.
