The Expanded Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) Model Resource Index lists a brief description of the resources available to assist home health agencies with understanding and participating in the Expanded HHVBP Model. Resources include direct links and are organized according to the category and order they appear on the Expanded HHVBP Model webpage.
In addition to the resources listed, the Expanded HHVBP Model webpage includes links to monthly expanded Model newsletters, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Health Equity Strategy, and the Home Health Prospective Payment System (HH PPS) final rules.
Expanded HHVBP Model TNC Measure Technical Specifications
Two resources detailing the technical specifications for the expanded HHVBP Model Total Normalized Composite (TNC) Change Measures are available on the Expanded HHVBP Model webpage under “Quality Measures”.
- Technical Specifications for the TNC Change Measures: April 2023 – Describes the risk adjustment models for the expanded HHVBP Model composite change measures, TNC Change in Mobility and TNC Change in Self-Care, to accommodate changes in OASIS-E and align with the update to the risk adjustment models made for OASIS-based outcome measures under the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (HH QRP). These specifications apply to quality episodes that begin on or after January 1, 2023.
- Technical Specifications for the TNC Change Measures: October 2021 – These specifications align with the risk adjustment models for Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) Version D outcome measures under the HH QRP for quality episodes that began prior to January 1, 2023.
Overview of the Interim Performance Report (IPR): July 2023 IPR Webinar
Registration is now open for a live-stream webinar that provides an overview of the IPR. This webinar is July 27 at 2:00 PM ET. Members of the HHVBP Model Technical Assistance (TA) Team will provide an overview of the data and information available in the IPR, which will help home health agencies monitor their performance during the calendar year (CY) 2023 performance year. Only providers with a CMS Certification Number (CCN) dated prior to January 1, 2022, will receive a July 2023 IPR.
