Description

We invite you to join HCAF for this informative chat about hot topics affecting the Private Duty home care sector. As a benefit of membership, these monthly online programs are offered at no cost to Private Duty and Combo members.

Topic: Trickiness of Valuing a Nurse Registry

In this edition of HCAF’s Private Duty Lunch Chat, we will explore the the intricate world of valuing a nurse registry, where the differences between a nurse registry and a home health agency become both opportunities and challenges. Valuation hinges solely on intangibles with no physical assets and no inventory. While the financial advantages of no payroll taxes or insurance are apparent, the use of 1099 contractors poses challenges during valuation.

Our guest speakers this month will focus on the pivotal moment of valuation, whether for investment or the prospect of selling a nurse registry. They will share their insights on the common themes among their nurse registry clients in their growth strategy and valuation considerations including how niche services, referral sources, and marketing and relationship development support can enhance value. Additionally, they will share proven strategies such as encouraging 1099 contractors to secure their LLCs, building new service lines based on nurses’ specialities, diversifying referral sources, and recognizing the sales/marketing function by caregivers.

Join us and learn how to build value for your nurse registry from the start so that your business is assessed at the greatest value possible when the time comes for you to invest further or sell.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Explain why it protects your nurse registry if your contracted staff secure their own LLC
