Home Care ICD-10 Coding for PDGM (Fort Myers/Virtual)

Home Care ICD-10 Coding for PDGM (Fort Myers/Virtual)

Tuesday, June 13, 2023 8:00 AM - Wednesday, June 14, 2023 4:30 PM (EDT)

Description

With the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM), your charts are subject to increased scrutiny as it relates to accurate coding and medical necessity. Is your coding as accurate as it needs to be?

In this intermediate-level ICD-10 coding workshop — offered simultaneously in-person and also live via webinar — we will work common home health scenarios, discuss guidance and conventions for accurate coding, and review new Medicare guidelines and OASIS updates.

This two-day, interactive workshop will enable your agency to thrive under the PDGM, as well as the Review Choice Demonstration (RCD).

After this workshop, the learner will be able to:

  • Define ICD-10 purposes;
  • Apply guidance and conventions while working through common scenarios;
  • Identify resources for coding guidance; and
  • Identify legal and ethical considerations when selecting an ICD-10 code.

Special notes regarding class materials:

  • Attendees will need to have access to their own 2023 ICD-10 coding manual to fully participate in the class. HCAF members benefit from a discount on coding books year-round. See here for discounts.
  • Handouts will be provided electronically to virtual attendees. These handouts do not include the 2023 ICD-10 coding manual.
