This essential workshop is designed for new owners, administrators, directors of nursing, and clinical managers transitioning into leadership roles in a skilled and/or certified home health agency. Led by Patti Heid and Jessica Devine of the Home Care Association of Florida, this interactive session delves into clinical standards, regulatory compliance, and office operations. Attendees will gain practical tools and insights to confidently navigate their responsibilities and excel in their roles.

Continuing Education Info

Attendees receive 7.0 continuing education units for Florida licensed skilled nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

Meet the Speakers

Jessica Devine
Director of Membership Growth & Retention

Jessica Devine has worked in home care since 2014 across various provider types, including Medicare-certified home health, nurse registry, and private duty. Prior to joining HCAF, she served as the Director of Private Care for a Visiting Nurse Association, overseeing a multi-region business in conjunction with the organization's home health and hospice services. She strongly believes that home care, more than any other form of health care, enhances patient well-being by promoting independence and preserving dignity, regardless of their living situation.

Jessica is a proud alumna of the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Patti Heid, MSPT, COS-C
Senior Director of Best Practices & Compliance

Patti Heid, MPST, COS-C, is HCAF’s Senior Director of Best Practices & Compliance. She has been a Physical Therapist for over 30 years and has worked in the home care setting for 27 of those years. She believes that nothing can compare to the rapport that one develops with a patient while working with them and their families, in their own homes, helping overcome the “real-life” day-to-day challenges that they face. Over the years, Heid has gained valuable experience by fulfilling many key roles within the home care arena, from field clinician through the management level. All these roles have given her deep abiding respect and admiration for the good that home care providers can achieve.

Patti graduated from St. John’s University in New York in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She obtained her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami in 1993.
