This Month's Topic: Legal Industry Updates, Challenges, and Regulatory Concerns
Private Duty home cares are never without some regulatory hoop or hurdle to try to conquer. During last month’s chat, HCAF's Bobby Lolley and Kyle Simon discussed broadening the scope of what a home health aide could do WITH the supervision of a registered nurse. Certainly, this scenario could lead to liability issues when there is a breakdown in the delegation and training of duties. The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) will certainly need to complete the rulemaking process for these new laws but discussions like this will help HCAF advocate for clear guidance that protects everyone involved. This month we will strive to flesh out some of those thorny legal issues with attorney Susan St. John, Esq., of Florida Healthcare Law Firm. Join us for this month’s chat to hear what she has been seeing and helping with lately. Take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions on this and other topics regarding:
- Regulatory compliance
- Health care business operations and transactions
- Telemedicine and telehealth
