Board of Directors Election & Bylaws Update Now Open — Cast Your Vote Today!
It’s election season at HCAF! Last month, we invited members to nominate themselves or others to serve on our Board of Directors. We’re excited to announce a strong slate of highly qualified candidates ready to lead, represent the industry, and advance HCAF’s mission.
The following 11 positions are open for election, each serving a two-year term beginning on July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027:
Officers (Elected by all Active Members)
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
Regional Directors (Elected by Provider Members in the Counties Listed)
- Region 1 Director (Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton)
- Region 3 Director (Alachua, Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Marion, Putnam, Sumter, Suwannee, Union)
- Region 5 Director (Pasco, Pinellas)
- Region 7 Director (Brevard, Orange, Osceola, Seminole)
- Region 9 Director (Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, St. Lucie)
- Region 11 Director (Miami-Dade, Monroe)
At-Large Director (Elected Only by Private Duty Provider Members)
- Private Duty Director
Proposed Bylaws Amendments
The Board of Directors has also proposed several amendments to the HCAF bylaws that require membership approval. Click here to view the full list of proposed changes.
Key highlights include:
- Membership Category Updates
- Refined criteria for Certified provider members
- Renamed “Private Duty” to “Private Care” (with VA-specific exception)I
- Introduced "Medicaid Specialty Provider Members”
- Created a new “Affiliate Provider Members” category for supporting organizations
- Board Representation
- Realigned Board structure to better reflect the composition of HCAF’s membership
- Technical Corrections
- Addressed minor formatting and administrative updates
Voting Guidelines
- Each Provider and Associate Member organization is entitled to one (1) vote per membership category.
- Combination members receive two (2) votes (one per category).
- Only current HCAF members are eligible to vote.
- If multiple votes are received from the same organization, only the first submission will be counted.
- You may vote for one candidate per position.
- Write-in candidates are allowed, provided they meet eligibility requirements.
