HCAF has recognized home care professionals with the Excellence in Home Care Award every year since 2013 for providing high-quality care and exceptional service. Award recipients don't just represent home care — they embody it. By honoring these extraordinary professionals, HCAF shows its appreciation for the invaluable contributions they make to the home care industry.

Now more than ever, we need to reflect and be grateful for all we have, including our amazing caregivers who have put others' needs above their own.

We encourage you to nominate a deserving individual who has consistently demonstrated excellence in their day-to-day performance and has made outstanding contributions to home care and those they serve.

It only takes a few minutes and it gives us the opportunity to celebrate all that is good about the home care industry and to honor those employees who work in this industry for all the right reasons. The winners will be recognized and celebrated at a special ceremony during HCAF's HomeCareCon 34th Annual Conference & Trade Show this summer.

The 2023 Excellence in Home Care Awards ceremony is sponsored by Generations Homecare System. Nominations are judged by a selection committee composed of industry leaders. The nominee must be an active member of HCAF in good standing at the time of nomination as well as at the time of award presentation.

Terri Santangelo Outstanding Leader Award

This award is in honor of Terri Santangelo, HCAF's beloved former president. It will honor a home care clinical or office supervisor who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities in motivating staff to achieve excellence in providing home care services. The recipient of this award will exemplify all the qualities that Terri Santangelo consistently displayed as a true leader in the home care industry.
