HCAF Announces 2021 Board of Directors Election Results
The Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) is excited to announce the new leadership of HCAF's Board of Directors.
Never have so many positions been on the ballot at once! HCAF appreciates all the highly competent and qualified candidates that participated in the election process last month, which featured 13 open positions on the 17-member Board that is responsible for governing HCAF. The newly elected Board members will serve a two-year term that begins on July 1 (unless otherwise noted).
Congratulations to the following individuals on their election!
- President: Cindy Lavoie, Owner/Administrator of Interim HealthCare of NorthWest Florida, Inc. in Tallahassee was elected.
- Vice President: Theresa Gates, Founding Partner, Chief Executive Officer, and Administrator of Beyond Home Health Care Services, LLC in Jacksonville was re-elected.
- Secretary: Denise Bellville, Corporate Quality Manager of Etairos, Comprehensive Home Care in Palm Harbor was elected.
- Treasurer: Melinda Gaboury, Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Provider Solutions in Nashville, Tenn., was elected.
- District 1 Director: J’non Griffin, Director of SimiTree in Mathews, N.C. was re-elected.
- District 2 Director: Emily Brown, Administrator of Tallahassee Memorial Home Health Care in Tallahassee was elected as the interim District 2 Director to complete the term of incoming President Cindy Lavoie.
- District 3 Director: Tanya Anderson, Administrator of Premier Care Homecare in Leesburg was elected.
- District 5 Director: Linda Ward, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gulfside Healthcare Services, Inc. in Land O’ Lakes was re-elected.
- District 7 Director: Olive Gaye, Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of GenCare Resources in Orlando was re-elected.
- District 9 Director: Michelle Rogers, System Director of Health First Home Care in Cocoa was elected.
- District 10 Director: Mary Ann Knee, Director of Nursing of Uniquemed Home Health Care Services, Inc. in West Palm Beach was elected as the interim District 10 Director to complete the term of Jamie Plastina, who resigned earlier this spring.
- District 11 Director: Nercy Radcliffe, Administrator of Providence Healthcare Services in Miami was re-elected.
- Private Duty Director: John Tyrkala, Administrator of Nuclear Care Partners in New Port Richey was elected.
HCAF would also like to express gratitude to the following individuals who will soon be transitioning off the Board for their leadership and dedication to our industry:
- Lisa Caamano of Concierge Home Care, whose combined tenure as the District 3 Director over the years has spanned nearly a decade.
- Kimberly Ortiz of B&B Homecare of Palm Beach, LLC for serving as District 9 Director for two full terms.
- Jamie Plastina, who served as the District 10 Director for one year.
We thank all three for their commitment to represent and advocate for the needs of their members within their respective regions.
