HCAF Receives Inaugural National Award for Leadership in Advancing Home Care

Association News

The Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) is proud to announce that it has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the National Alliance for Care at Home State Association Award — a national honor recognizing outstanding advocacy, innovation, and commitment to strengthening care at home.

The award celebrates a state association that drives meaningful progress in the care-at-home community through effective advocacy, member engagement, and initiatives that enhance quality, access, and awareness. HCAF was recognized for its work to modernize regulations, build the home care workforce, and amplify the voice of providers and patients across Florida and beyond.

The award was presented during the Alliance’s Annual Meeting & Exposition, held November 1–4, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana, with the presentation taking place during the keynote session on Tuesday, November 4.

“This recognition reflects the strength, resilience, and unity of Florida’s home care community — from our dedicated providers and caregivers to the incredible HCAF staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support them,” said Executive Director Denise Bellville, RN, BS, who accepted the award on HCAF’s behalf. “Together, we’re proving that home care is essential, innovative, and a powerful force for change.”

This distinction belongs to every Florida provider who has shared a story, met with a lawmaker, or helped amplify our collective voice — and to the HCAF team whose daily work provides vital education and resources, turns advocacy into action, and ensures the industry’s voice is heard at every level.

HCAF’s nomination highlighted:

  • Legislative leadership through landmark policy wins modernizing home health regulations and expanding support for medically fragile children and their families.
  • Innovation through regulatory reform, Florida’s first AI Summit for Home Care, and forward-thinking provider education.
  • Advocacy and outreach through grassroots engagement, disaster response support, national partnerships, and efforts to elevate home care’s value to lawmakers, payers, and the public.

HCAF is deeply grateful to the National Alliance for Care at Home for this recognition — and to our members, partners, and staff whose dedication makes these achievements possible.

This inaugural award belongs to Florida’s home care provider community — and to the HCAF team that serves them every day.
