HCAF is seeking volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors, particularly in Regions 1, 5, and 11, where current Directors are ineligible to run again. Each odd-numbered region, as well as the Private Duty Director who represents these members, is up for election this year. The two-year term will begin in July 2023 and will end in June 2025. Only active HCAF members are eligible to serve on the Board.

Director responsibilities include:

• Assisting staff with member recruitment
• Holding regional meetings about matters of interest to their constituents
• Attending Board meetings, assisting staff at events, volunteering to serve on at least one standing committee, and serving on task forces when requested
• Participating in HCAF member group benefit programs (when possible)

Those interested in applying should submit the following materials, which will be included in the online ballot for the May 2023 election.

1. Personal statement about why someone should vote for you in the specific position you wish to run for
2. Photo (or permission to use the one we have on file, if applicable)
3. Professional resume or CV
