Home Health on the Hill Fly-in Next Month Washington, D.C.
Home Health on the Hill Fly-in Next Month Washington, D.C.
A devastating payment cut is looming for home health providers next year. Medicaid home- and community-based services (HCBS) reimbursement rates remain woefully inadequate. Despite unprecedented labor and inflationary challenges, in-home care providers across the industry continue to lack the policy support they need to meet growing consumer demand.
Please join us on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, September 14 to make your voice heard on behalf of your agency, your staff, and your patients. As part of an in-person advocacy event in our nation's capital HCAF, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), and home health advocates from across the nation will be meeting with members of Congress and urging them to take action on these vital issues.
A virtual briefing will be hosted by NAHC's policy team prior to meetings with lawmakers to provide an overview of the legislative landscape and to provide an overview of the top home health and hospice issues before Congress. We will record the briefing so you can watch it at your convenience. NAHC and its meeting partner, Soapbox Consulting, will coordinate legislative meetings based on the information you provide when you register.
This event is free, but registration is required. Security at the Capitol has been enhanced and visitors cannot enter without being added to a security list prior to the meeting. If you do not register, you will not be added to the security list and thus be unable to participate.*
To ensure meeting availability, we encourage you to register as soon as possible, as September will be a busy month on Capitol Hill. This event doesn't have a designated hotel, so book your travel and accommodations as soon as possible to reduce your costs for this important fly-in.
*Not all congressional offices are conducting in-person meetings due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and heightened security since the January 6 attack. When an in-person meeting cannot be scheduled, a virtual meeting will be requested and Zoom information will be provided before the meeting.
