The Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the federal agency tasked with reviewing all significant regulations from executive agencies, announced last week that it received the CY 2022 Home Health Prospective Payment System Rate Update, Home Infusion Therapy Services, and Quality Reporting Requirements (CMS-1747) from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Per the rulemaking process, OMB has 90 days from the date of receipt to review the proposed rule before releasing a draft of the proposed rule and soliciting comments from stakeholders and the public. The proposal is expected to be published later this summer. Upon publication of the proposal, HCAF will provide a summary and instructions for submitting comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) before the final rule is published in the fall.
