AHCA Increases Medicaid Private Duty Nursing Reimbursement Rates By 7.19%
The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has updated the Medicaid Private Duty Nursing (PDN) Services Fee Schedule, effective October 1, 2024. You can view the updated fee schedule here and the previous fee schedule here.
This update reflects a 7.19% increase in reimbursement rates for both registered nurse (RN) and licensed practical nurse (LPN) services. For RN services (S9123), the rate has risen from $30.07 per hour to $32.23 per hour, while LPN services (S9124) have increased from $26.25 per hour to $28.14 per hour.
This fee adjustment, part of the $717.1 million Live Healthy legislative package passed earlier this year, seeks to support home health agencies by improving financial stability and enabling them to maintain or expand their services. Of the package, $29 million was specifically allocated to elevate Medicaid reimbursement rates for PDN services.
