As part of the federal government's ongoing efforts to provide up-to-date information to prepare for the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued a new overview fact sheet concerning federal waivers, flexibilities, and the transition from the PHE, which is expected to end on May 11, 2023.

Several topics are clarified in the fact sheet, including vaccines, testing, and treatments, telehealth services, and access to health care.
