CMS Issues Non-Compliance Notices for CY 2026 Home Health Annual Payment Update
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has begun issuing non-compliance notifications to home health agencies that did not meet the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (HHQRP) requirements for the Calendar Year (CY) 2026 Annual Payment Update (APU).
Where to Find Your Notice
Starting November 26, 2025, CMS will place non-compliance letters in each affected agency's "My Reports" folder within iQIES. In addition, Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) will send a duplicate notice by email or postal mail to agencies in their jurisdiction.
Agencies receiving a non-compliance letter may submit a request for reconsideration to CMS. Reconsideration requests must be emailed to HHAPUreconsiderations@cms.hhs.gov with the subject line “HHA QRP Reconsideration Request, [CCN]” (e.g., HHA QRP Reconsideration Request, 123456). All requests must be submitted via email no later than 11:59 PM ET on January 6, 2026.
