The PEPPER (Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report) retrieval rate for Florida Medicare-certified home health agencies was 53% as of the fourth quarter of 2021. Of the 853 reports available, 457 were retrieved. Florida providers exceeded the national average of 45%. The percentages reflect the PEPPER release for home health agencies that was completed on July 11, 2022.

PEPPER is an educational tool that summarizes provider-specific data statistics for Medicare services that may be at risk of improper payments. Providers can also use it to facilitate internal auditing and monitoring activities. PEPPER is developed under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) by RELI Group, along with its partners TMF® Health Quality Institute and CGS.
