Starting September 30, 2024, Florida’s minimum wage will rise to $13.00 per hour, continuing the scheduled increases mandated by a 2020 constitutional amendment. The amendment, approved by voters, stipulates an annual $1.00 increase to the minimum wage until it reaches $15.00 per hour by 2026. Afterward, the minimum wage will be adjusted annually based on inflation.
Tipped employees will also see their base wage increase, jumping from $8.98 to $9.98 per hour. The federal minimum wage stands remains at $7.25 per hour.
