ImagineCare Drops Challenges to Florida's Medicaid Managed Care Contracts
Florida Politics is reporting that ImagineCare has decided to drop its challenges against Florida's Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program contract awards, both in state administrative court and Leon County Circuit Court. Meanwhile, AmeriHealth Caritas and Sentara are proceeding with their challenges.
Florida requires most Medicaid enrollees to use managed care plans. The Agency for Health Care Administration's (AHCA) recent procurement process aimed to renegotiate multiyear contracts worth tens of billions of dollars. Seven plans initially challenged the state's decision, but after negotiations, AHCA settled disputes with four of them, leaving three, including those from AmeriHealth Caritas and Sentara, unresolved.
Existing contracts are set to expire at the end of the year.
