Member Input Needed on Proposed Changes to HCAF Bylaws
Member Input Needed on Proposed Changes to HCAF Bylaws
HCAF's elected Board of Directors has proposed amendments to our bylaws for the membership's consideration. HCAF members must approve all changes to our bylaws before they are adopted.
Click here to access the proposed updates. Please note that underlined words are additions.
The following changes are proposed:
- Technical and terminology updates, including a change to the term health care "districts" to "regions" consistent with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
- Providers pending licensure or certification may join the membership category of their choice. Non-skilled agencies may be members of the Private Duty membership category.
- A maximum of two (2) optional Advisory Directors may be appointed by the Executive Committee on an annual basis.
- Revisions to the wording regarding online voting.
For your vote to be counted, you must be a member of HCAF. Each member organization has one vote. If we receive more than one vote from your organization, we will use the first vote we receive. We urge you to vote early, but not often.
Click here to cast your vote. Voting closes at 5:00 PM ET on December 21, 2022.
If you experience difficulties accessing the ballot or casting your vote, please contact Monica Smith, Deputy Director, at msmith@homecarefla.org.
Thank you in advance for participating and, as always, we greatly appreciate your support for HCAF.
